The talk will:
- Describe many of the practical difficulties in the duct testing
requirements,
- Reveal problems with the theory behind and interpretation of the
standard, and
- Present some of the theoretical benefits that are important to
raters, researchers and the development of energy auditing software.

Building Commissioning
Ken Fonorow
An integrated systems approach to home construction and renovation is
fundamental to transforming the housing market. This session examines
how building commissioning, common in the commercial market, can work in
the residential setting. The session will share a range of techniques to
collect performance related data, interpretation of the data and methods
of managing information flows of a working business model. Working
knowledge of performing Energy Star testing is advised.

Understanding Psychometrics
Dennis Stroer
A basic understanding of psychometrics is absolutely fundamental to
understanding, diagnosing and controlling moisture problems. This
session will provide participants with an understanding of psychometrics
without dwelling on a complicated psychometric chart.

Cathedralized Attics Affect HVAC, Roofing and Insulation Performance

This session will focus on not well known benefits and problems of
cathedralized attics in hot & humid climates. It will examine the
effects of cathedralized attics on HVAC load and system performance, and
examine related issues such as insulation and roofing system performance
and control of moisture in roofing systems. |
