LEED for Homes Green Rater Workshop Debuts at Greenbuild in Phoenix
The U.S. Green Building Council's LEED for Homes Rating System has
seen widespread implementation throughout the residential sector since
its launch in early 2008. As of September, 2009, there are nearly 19,000
units registered with LEED for Homes throughout the U.S., all of which
will require on-site verification from a credentialed LEED for Homes
Green Rater. To help meet this demand, USGBC has designed the all-new
LEED for Homes Green Rater Program to establish minimum qualifications
and competencies among Green Raters who are performing in-field
verification on LEED for Homes projects.
Training for this essential new credential consists of two important
steps: an online course (available in October), and this two-day,
in-person workshop, which is debuting Nov. 10-11 at this year's
Greenbuild Conference & Expo in Phoenix.
